Star Trek theme park being developed in Jordan
Set phasers for fun! That’s because Star Trek’s getting the theme park treatment in Aqaba, Jordan. Set to begin construction in March 2012, the Red Sea Astrarium, a $1.5 billion development comprised of four hotels and 17 amusement-park-style attractions, will feature a Star Trek-themed entertainment center, including a “space-flight adventure” simulator ride (a la Disney’s Star Tours) based on the 45-year-old franchise. ABC's Castle casts Star Trek alum for role of Beckett's therapist With "Castle" currently in production for the upcoming fourth season, we are now starting to finally get some much-appreciated details in the way of casting.According to a new report from TV Guide, Michael Dorn ("Star Trek: the Next Generation" is set to play a potentially-recurring role as Beckett's new therapist. While we don't know for sure how major a role this character will have, it is safe to say that he will help the character deal with some of her feelings towards Castle as well as moving past the tragic murder of her mother.
