Star Trek theme park being developed in Jordan

Set phasers for fun! That’s because Star Trek’s getting the theme park treatment in Aqaba, Jordan. Set to begin construction in March 2012, the Red Sea Astrarium, a $1.5 billion development comprised of four hotels and 17 amusement-park-style attractions, will feature a Star Trek-themed entertainment center, including a “space-flight adventure” simulator ride (a la Disney’s Star Tours) based on the 45-year-old franchise.

ABC's Castle casts Star Trek alum for role of Beckett's therapist

With "Castle" currently in production for the upcoming fourth season, we are now starting to finally get some much-appreciated details in the way of casting.

According to a new report from TV Guide, Michael Dorn ("Star Trek: the Next Generation" is set to play a potentially-recurring role as Beckett's new therapist. While we don't know for sure how major a role this character will have, it is safe to say that he will help the character deal with some of her feelings towards Castle as well as moving past the tragic murder of her mother.

10 Things You Probably Didn’t Know About the Original Star Trek

Space may be the final frontier, but Star Trek is a well-explored universe by now. Captain Kirk, the Enterprise, transporters, phasers, tricorders and Klingons are part of our common language. But there's still tons of insane stuff you've never heard about Trek.

JJ Abrams talks Star Trek 2, Let's get the important things right

As an uber-fan of the 2009 Star Trek film from JJ Abrams I am a very big proponent of making sure the sequel is handled delicately. The idea of having Star Trek 2 in theaters by this next summer is not looking likely and I am 100% okay with that as are many other fans. Recently Abrams officially confirmed his return to direct and there was even a villain decided upon but no script and the impending deadline from Paramount for a released date looms.

Alphas beams up Brent Spiner

NEW YORK (TheWrap.com) - Brent Spiner, the actor who memorably played Data on "Star Trek: The Next Generation" and in subsequent theatrical films, will guest-star on an upcoming episode of "Alphas," Syfy announced Monday.
