STAR TREK: That didn't happen Before J.J. Abrams rebooted the ‘Star Trek’ film franchise, Bryan Singer was developing a new TV series set several centuries after ‘The Next Generation’ – called ‘Star Trek: Federation.’ TREKFEST IS ON According to KCRG-TV, TREKFEST is on. Riverside's Star Trek-themed summer event was in jeopardy for the past month after the Riverside City Council voted not to give $10,000 to the Riverside Area Community Club, which organizes the festival. But organizers announced that they've secured enough donations to move forward. The weekend-long festival celebrates the city's billing as the future birthplace of Capt. James T. Kirk. FREE ONLINE BATTLESTAR GALACTICA GAME REVIEW If you've ever had the itch to pilot a Colonial Viper or a Cylon Raider, then here's your golden opportunity. Taking place about halfway through the events of the TV series, the Open Beta of Battlestar Galactica Online puts you in the flight suit of either a human or Cylon pilot, fighting alongside (or against) your fellow gamers as the two fleets do battle in the depths of space. The Miniature Stands about 1 inch tall, and took about three weeks to paint, The Base is painted as if he is standing in Snow, and the mini is basecoated in Dark Angels Green. He carries a Big Hammer named Mjolnir. The Greeves and Gloves are painted White to represent the purity of lambskin. The Cape and Curriasses are trimmed in Gold and yellow, and highlighter with Goblin Green and shaded with a a darker green mixed with black paint. The hardest part to paint were the eyes, first I dipped the smallest amount of white into the recesses. Then after that dried, I used my finest brush with about ten sable hairs with a small bit of blue paint and just barely touched the orbs to create iris coloring. The headset on his right ear really stands out in the picture more than it actually does by the contrast of the darker maroon over the flesh coloring of the bare pate. All in all one of my favorite models, and sits in the display case above my desk in a position of honor.
